    While SBR foam (styrene-butadiene rubber) emerged as a low-cost alternative to neoprene in wetsuit production late last century, its performance falls short. The industry later developed SCR – a hybrid material blending SBR and chloroprene rubber – to balance cost and functionality.

    SCR grade Neoprene: CR and SBR are mixed in a specific ratio to create a rubber with good flexibility, making it a versatile material for wetsuits. Depending on the proportion of CR in the blend, there are noticeable differences in elasticity and comfort, and market prices also vary based on CR content.
